Gluten-free products are specifically formulated for people with a gluten intolerance. The term “gluten-free” can only be used when the gluten content of the food product sold to the final consumer does not exceed 20mg/kg.
Our plant uses specific production technologies and best practices in order to manage the risk of cross-contamination.
WHAT IS GLUTEN?
Gluten is an alcohol soluble protein fraction found in some cereals such as wheat, rye and barley. One disorder associated with gluten is Coeliac disease, a permanent disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten in genetically predisposed individuals. The only treatment currently available is a gluten-free diet.
